Wanna spend the weekend in the country
I don’t care if it’s supposed to rain
I know it may sound kinda funny
But I kinda like it just that way

We can sit out on the front porch
Watching the rain fall down
If it gets too cold
we can bring a blanket out
Feel the peace upon us
Alone with the wildlife
But I do hope it clears up long enough
To enjoy a starry night

A rainy weekend in the country
It’ll do wonders for our hearts
We won’t need too much money
Just a couple of books and a deck of cards
