Lived a young boy, barely 6 years old
He loved basketball and playing with his Legos
But the man upstairs listened to talk radio

The boys mom asked the man if they could pray
But evil was so stuck in its ways
Now even the devil, he don’t want his soul
Too rotten to the core yeah we know
Yeah we all know

The man on the radio, he’s pretty smart
Making lots of money, twisting facts his art
Once he figured out it ain’t all that hard
He became a rich man by tearing us apart

Well I guess that thoughts and prayers sure are nice
But they don’t help a family understand why
They’re shopping for a casket that’s undersized
While the man on the radio keeps spreading his lies
So cleverly disguised
Then we act surprised
When a young boy dies
